Grove-Bassett House, ca. 1818

This Federal Style house was built in 1818 by Samuel Cruse, but occupied by Dr. John Bassett about 1830. After returning from medical studies in Paris in 1837, Dr. Bassett added several rooms. The north wing was added in the 1920s.
